Great Price, So-so Quality, Really good price for a faily decent subwoofer. There are some gaps and of dubious quality that I have a long history of Sony.
The output system is certainly decent volume, but the frequency response is very thin and "boomy". As I link this unit with 10-inch bookshelf speakers, I often cut to a minimum, just to catch only the lower tones. The deeper base is simply not there, but it is a small inexpensive subwoofer.
The quality is questionable. I returned the first unit due to problems 2. First, the power of self-circuit never work. The device does not turn off, even after days, not input. Second, once there was no sound, even if the speaker inputs were fine. There was a murmur to the suit, but not the music. After some time past, has returned to normal operation. Perhaps there is a built-in protection circuit, but is not described in the manual.
Finally, I would recommend the unit, but be aware that you get what you pay for.
